How did your passion for travel begin?
I’m forever grateful that I grew up and really encouraged me to find the planet. On Semester at Sea — a schedule with 500 school students, I studied abroad in school where we took classes and traveled to 12 different nations in four months across the globe. It was amazing — and actually where I started my site! From that expertise on, I was hooked.
Just how many days/weeks are you currently traveling in any given year? What are the sorts?
100% of their time currently travel. That type of go-go-go lifestyle isn’t sustainable I understand. But right now it is a lot of fun to cease. And I’m really enjoying producing all types of places around the planet”home” for a few weeks or even more in a time! I try both to view the places that I go to a neighborhood , and as a tourist. By spending time in the places that I go I think, I get to understand them better and it helps make the content than the typical travel guide that is surface-level.
You had been born and raised in California. What makes California such a wonderful travel destination?
I spend the most time of the year in Bali, when I’m not traveling that I believe a home base, and that I return into California quite a bit too.
You’re among the most trusted names in the world of luxury travel. For those that don’t understand, what type of work do you do and what exactly is luxury travel?
California has it all!!! The beach, the snow, hiking, biking, golf foodie cities, Highway One, the Golden Gate Bridge, Big Sur, Yosemite, Napa Valley, oh my gosh I really can go on FOREVER! California is the ideal place on the planet.
What do you want viewers to profit and learn from the job?
I think luxury travel is about experiencing the very best in travel. Luxury travel is celebration travel. It’s the intimate getaways, the honeymoons, the babymoons, the birthday trips, the anniversaries. It’s an excuse to celebrate. Luxury travel is the kind of travel you work hard for. What I do is create attaining that vacation easier. My job is to make planning your trips a breeze so that you are able to trust that your hard-earned vacation will be well worth every cent.
I need everyone to have the ability to travel more, and improved, and I love helping them do this. I would like people to have the very best trips every trip they choose with the recommendations of Jetset Christina, of the own lives. Nothing makes me more happy than the DM’s on instagram I get with images from followers’ trips, telling me how much they adored it and how they moved to a resort or even on a tour because of me.
Give us your’Top 5′ list for a few of the best 3 destinations. Just like a to-do list of sorts or a mini-guide. It may be anything in your favorite resort, best place to have lunch, best sightseeing, etc..
You’ve got an extensive bucket list on your website, which you cross items off of as you reach them. Of all of the items that you’ve crossed off this list, which one was the most special or memorable and why?
How many nations have you seen up to now?
Amalfi Coast, Italy
What are the top 3 favorite perfumes?
I love it! Here’s my Top 5 Bali Guide:
What’s your favorite restaurant on the planet? What dish do you recommend there?
Oh that’s such a tough question. EVERY travel memory is significant to me. I would probably have to state staying in an overwater bungalow. I think everyone dreams of this trip — and it is every bit as amazing as it is cracked up to be. My very first time in one was a really special excursion — since it was. It was a place she had wished to visit, but never could find reason enough for a trip-of-a-lifetime. But when”life” becomes a great deal shorter, travel becomes a whole lot more significant. When she got great news from the doctor, we booked this trip to French Polynesia, and had the best trip ever.
What’s your travel movie?
61 and counting!
What’s your international airport?
Mexican, Japanese, and Greek
Which city has the most friendly folks?
Mama’s Fish House in Maui, Hawaii is now my favorite restaurant on the planet. Any of the new fish is.
Who is your travel companion?
It’s Crazy Rich Asians — I believe after seeing that movie?!, that DOESNT want a trip to Singapore
What’s the ideal method to kill time when traveling?
I Really like any layover with an American Express Centurion Lounge.
Their lounges have the very best meals, endless drinks, as well as spas with complimentary massages! I had a layover in Bogota, Colombia and absolutely loved this airport.
What’s the most exotic place your career has taken you?
Charleston which Southern Hospitality is not possible to conquer.
What’s your bit of travel advice for somebody who would like to, or is about to, embark on a lifetime of travel?
Kenny, my fiancé!
The identical way travels — we love very good wine, great food, and terrific beaches. We possibly can spend all day in sunlight, and also all night chatting over cocktails. We have as much fun traveling.
What are 3 things that you might never travel without?
I always have little jobs I plan ahead on doing in the airport, such as catching up on email replies, DM’s, etc.. So I never have any downtime on journey. On the airplane, I’m usually writing sleeping and watching movies or blog posts, viewing photos.
What’s your ultimate dream destination?
The Maldives — they feel just like a whole other planet. And are easily.
What’s your travel quote?
My very best advice is when you’re going to be traveling a great deal, whether it’s for work or for fun, (or for the two!) , it is so important to still have a feeling of’home’ even if you’re on the street. It’s simple to get tired when you’re living from a suitcase, so I’ll try to plan for longer trips in a number of the places that I love, so that I could really take a breath and catch up on my job, routine, and lifestyle. Sometimes”work-cations” are equally as critical as holidays!
Where are you headed?
My camera, my Butt and my reusable straw (this is Actually the Only One I use)
So many places are on my list. I’m dying to perform a African safari & Zanzibar. I’m also dying to get to Argentina & wine tasting in Mendoza.
“You can always make more income. You can never make more time.”
I’m off to Bordeaux, France with a French wine brand in partnership!
I am rather eager to investigate wine country, and then visit Cannes Film Festival!
