Jianbing is a crepe that contains eggs, crackers, pickled vegetables, and hoisin sauce. It has a sweet and savory flavor and the crackers inside give a nice crunch to it. The egg is flavorful with all the hoisin sauce and within is somewhat runny. It almost reminded me of a Indian dosa, just with Chinese tastes! This dish truly makes my taste buds go awry each time. The only issue is, the shop that sells it just offers it till 11 a.m., so head down to Huanghe Road early in the event you would like to have one!

Was Chili Chill, a Sichuan restaurant with a few menu items that are exotic. Sichuan cuisine is well famous for its spice, which you may smell before you put in the restaurant! The most exotic dish I had there was easily.
The bunny head is cooked at hot chili oil with Sichuan peppercorns. Mine was cooked, so it still had some warmth into it, although it served cold. This dish is cluttered, so you are awarded plastic gloves to manage it. You consume it by prying the limbs and eating the tongue and then breaking it to get into the brain, and then feeding the eyes and the remainder of the meat.
It is a bit crunchy and is sexy, but the spice is not too extreme. It will numb tongue and your lips, because it’s so ridiculously yummy, but it’s well worth it. The eyes were also a taste explosion in my mouth. I wanted more of these! It is still that you need to eat from Shanghai, although the bunny head may be a bit extreme for a while. Trust me!
You cannot miss the Sichuan wontons. They’re served in a rich soup which gives the impression of heat off. The wontons contain pork and ginger, as well as Sichuan peppercorn.

1 dish I attempted a few times for breakfast is a chewy fried breadstick with piping hot soymilk. It is essentially a churro’s Chinese variant, but it is not coated in sugar. The very first time was about UnTour Food Tours’ Shanghai Street Eats Breakfast tour of the French Concession.
The breadstick is oily and may be eaten in two ways. You may dip it into the soymilk, or you can split it into pieces that are small and float them. I tried it both ways and they’re both fantastic!
